This type of roofing is sprayed onto an existing roof and turns from liquid to foam. Once cured, SPF becomes a single layer of seamless roofing. It can be used on any style or shape of the roof and is often a good solution for odd or irregularly shaped roofs.

Furthermore, it can be sprayed onto any type of existing roof, including asphalt, shingles, concrete, or metal. SPF roofing is energy-efficient, waterproof, easy to maintain, and can last up to fifty years when installed properly.

Single Ply Membrane

Single Ply Membrane Roofing is similar to SPF in that it is applied to the existing roof of commercial buildings. This type of roofing is made up of sheets of rubber and other synthetic materials. Some materials are more cost-effective than others. However, all tend to have the same advantages.

For instance, you can choose between heat-reflective or retentive materials. As versatile as it may seem, however, this type of roofing has a distinct disadvantage. It is easily punctured by hard objects, which can make a building subject to leaks. Also, unlike the SPF, it is not seamless.

Metal

This type of roof, when installed correctly, will last about forty years and requires very little maintenance after installation. However, one disadvantage is the weight it adds to a building. Also, it is labor-intensive, so it tends to be a costlier roofing option.
